As an aspiring Fashion Designer, I decided it would be a good idea to not only make my Prom outfit, but to also make a statement!
So this is what I ended up with.
A tailcoat and floral pants (the theme for the prom was the Secret Garden).
I spent a total of 20+ hours making both the tailcoat and the pants. Totally worth it!
I also decided to bring two girls to prom, and be pimping. Haha.

I had a really nice birthday. There isn’t a need for a million people, just your true friends.
I actually made the crop jacket I’m wearing. I can’t believe I made that. It turned out really good for it to be the first time I make sleeves and a collar!

Yesterday i went to Charlotte Fashion Week :) It was nice. I wore this dress that I had made a while back <3

Should I do a tutorial on the skirt? It was SO simple you wouldn’t believe it.

I made my first Tie!
It is cotton, and a little stiff, but ill fix that for the next one:)
It is all hand sewn so it takes foreveer, but it is SO worth it.

My First Quilt! <3
I started looking into quilts, and they are just so beautiful!
SOO, i decided to make one. I started out small because I have no patience, and thus, need to bulid it. It’s 22” x 36”, so it’s like a baby blanket. It’s an original design. I love it.
Its not for me though, it’s for one of my friend’s mom back in Venezuela (if I ever get to go :( )
I broke the first needle on my sewing machine. I almost cried! >.<
I made a new cover for an orange cushion, which didn’t match with the new reading corner for my baby brother.
I cut out the letter and sewed them onto the background fabric.
I really like how it turned out, especially since it’s my first time doing appliqué.

I am SO excited.
I did all by myself, there was no tutorial.
(And I didn’t have to reap any seams. Yay)
I can’t wait until graduation day so I can wear it!
