Look at this picture! Look at the fashion and the style, it could’ve been taken at a gathering it today’s world, but judging from the hairstyle, it’s something around the 40’s or 50’s. Seriously though, it amazes me how identical it is to fashion trends today: the flats, high-waisted skirts, and prints. Just shows you how “vintage” always comes back into style.

As an aspiring Fashion Designer, I decided it would be a good idea to not only make my Prom outfit, but to also make a statement!

So this is what I ended up with.

A tailcoat and floral pants (the theme for the prom was the Secret Garden).

I spent a total of 20+ hours making both the tailcoat and the pants. Totally worth it!

I also decided to bring two girls to prom, and be pimping. Haha.

So, do you have any idea how hard it is to draw a proportionally correct and stylized woman figure? No, you dont. It’s f***** hard. But at least I’m trying.
I feel like I’m getting better with each one.
Though I really don’t like drawing the one that’s fully frontal.
I like the 3rd and 4th ones better for the actual illustration of the clothes (when I get there).

I had a really nice birthday. There isn’t a need for a million people, just your true friends.
I actually made the crop jacket I’m wearing. I can’t believe I made that. It turned out really good for it to be the first time I make sleeves and a collar!
Haha. I love how Holland is just there in the back with her cute face xD

Fashion these days

I’m seriously considering choosing all plus size models for when I get to pick the models to show my collections.

The unrealistic “perfect body” that the industry has put out there seriously pains me.

That is NOT supposed to be the ideal body, ladies. The ideal body is being comfortable with yourself no matter what anyone tells you.

It just sickens me. It’s gross to me. They look almost ghostly.

If I was a guy, I’d be afraid of hugging them ‘cause I think they would break. Pathetic.
